Why does the US always pull **** like this? They're like a ******** toddler with a box of ******* matches. So, what do you think will happen now, will the Iranians carry out their threats to shut the Straits of Hormuz? Will they actually go after US naval vessels in the gulf like they've also threatened to do in the past or will it be terrorist attacks on US targets around the world?

Personally, due to the nature of who they've just assassinated, I can see this escalating very quickly into something rather nasty.

If the reports are correct he isn't the only one - they've taken out several commanders of Iranian linked external forces and arrested a load of other people.

Also reports that when given a bunch of varying options for responding to the embassy attack he said something along the lines of "to **** with it do it all" combined with this tweet:

Slightly worrying.

He was in the same car as the leader of the militia that attacked the US embassy. He's been on the US bucket list for years and the Israelis have been trying to kill him since the early 2000s. The attack on the embassy was as good an excuse as any to remove a pain in the ass to America, Israel and even Saudi Arabia.

What are your thoughts on Israel's past attempt on this man's life, and their approval of the current killing?

They attacked a US embassy, guess they didnt think they would get this type of response.

I like the way you use the term "murder" as well as if it wasnt justified, seems like quite a few Iranians are also happy judging by what ive seen on social media.

Bit of a drama llama thread title - killed, not murdered. As per the news article:

A statement from the Pentagon said Gen Soleimani "was actively developing plans to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq and throughout the region".

"This strike was aimed at deterring future Iranian attack plans," it added.

Also, do you really think Trump woke up one morning and fancied launching a drone attack? This would have been brought to his attention by his advisors, military leaders, intelligence agencies etc. Trump may have made the final call, but not without all options laid out to him and a preferred course of action offered.

It's about time we took the fight to them and not wait for attacks against us. Now let's hit the UAE where the terrorist cells are getting their funding from!!!
