Am I right in thinking that you cannot connect usb devices and access them via a virtual machine in Esxi ?

I want to hook up a usb printer to a server 2003 vm, would one of those usb to ip hubs work ?

Anyone know of any cheap ones ?

You are correct, ESXi doesn't support USB host to VM access.

We use the Belkin USB to IP hub (F5L009) and it seems to work fine for everything we have tried so far (including USB VGA).

It's the cheapest one we could find.

We use that Belkin one as well, works alright when we need it, which isnt very often. useful to have around though.
