use spare vga in for digi tv?

Morning, I'm on a bit of a space saving mission and was wondering if it is possible to hook up a digital tv tuner that does vga output to the spare vga input on a tft and watch tv on it without the pc being turned on?

I have seen someone post a scart cable that has a VGA connector on the end of it (I am sure I have anyway!)
