Hi,

So, new install of Win10 Pro on my laptop, banged chrome and atom on it, installed Veracrypt and went through the process of encrypting the entire drive but before it does this it does a test that requires a reboot.

I've done the reboot, Dell splash screen pops up and the password option.

Password entered correctly, no PIM and it loads and goes straight to a Bitlocker Recovery screen asking for a recovery key I don't have.

I've been unable to recover it using the Veracrypt USB you make so currently it's being reinstalled.

Anyone know what likely went wrong or how best to recover it if I try it again?

Bitlocker is enabled automatically on the System drive if your machine meets certain compatibility criteria. I guess you have no option but to start over now.

Once you've installed Windows 10 run
Code:
manage-bde -status
to see if Bitlocker is enabled, and
Code:
manage-bde -off C:
to disable it.

You should then be able to configure Veracrypt.
