Been about 5 years since I built my last PC from OcUK - PC is now in the hands of my dad and I have been using a laptop for years. Time to go back to a desktop.
I bought a Sony HD Camcorder at Xmas to be a typical camcorder dad to make cheesy videos of my 10 month year old son to show to his prospective girlfriends in the years to come. So I want to be able to edit this. I will be getting a licensed copy of Adobe Premier from work, so the main grunt of the work the PC will do is using this. I used to love a bit of Day of Defeat and never really converted to an XBox for Modern Warfare, so to be able to play these would be nice. Not on highest settings, but playable.
Been having a look at the Intel & AMD chips, and was swaying towards the Core i processors from Intel, but then I read about the Llano. Thought might give me better graphics processing without spending on an expensive gfx card.
Ram seems to be so cheap it would be rude not to get 8gb.
Monitor - like the look of this monitor.
Keyboard / Mouse needs to be included, just budget ones as will get my razor mouse and keyboard off my dad and swap!
Thoughts on spec would be apreciated...
