    Hi,

What are you views on the Viewsonic VX724 17" LCD Monitor. How well does games perform, including windows windows applications.

I have a TFT at present (50 ms - iiyama 17") and believe this is 3 ms. Is it a worthy upgrade?

    Thanks

well it depends what you're going to use the screen for. The VX724 is certainly a very fast and responsive screen, arguably one of the fastest in the market right now. It should be suitable for even the fastest games out there, and if you want a gaming TFT, it is a good choice. However, since you have a 17" Iiyama at the moment, perhaps it would be more of a "worthy upgrade" to get a 19" or even 20"WS model? The 19" market is certainly very affordable nowadayas and the extra size might be a nice step upwards. You could also look at other panel technologies in the 19" and 20"WS market, offering much better all round performance than TN Film panels like the VX724. Colour reproduction and black depth have improved on the TN Film panels since the days of the old 50ms models, you should notice some nice improvements in whatever you go for...
