It is beyond me how they get away with advertising it as "fibre optic broadband". Probably just shows how ignorant the advertising watchdog are of technology really.

its fibre optic up untill the green box near your house then just plain old copper wire to your house. im on vm 20mb and think its good for gaming online but the throttling can get a bit annoying.

No, its not "plain old copper", that would suggest twisted pair, which it isn't.

VM is still more fibre than BT currently has, also no twisted pair.

At least with VDSL and FTTC it will be a bit closer.

They should just bring GPON in, Saudi Telecomm are getting it

BT weren't interested in Flashwave either, 480Gb of switching capacity right there, but BT want to keep with the 20-30Gb FMSAN's they have now.
