I need to replace my Virgin Media Hub 3 Router with one that you can amend the DNS settings of. This is so that I can use my Rasberry pi 3 as an Ad blocker network wide (pi-hole). It would be a good bonus if there is an option to add VPN too (NordVPN). I don't really want to spend too much money. Something that can do a decent job which will have 4 to 5 devices connected (2 via ethernet and 3 wireless). What would you guys recommend?

You don’t need a new router to do as you describe. Also router level VPN is generally something you don’t want to do without considering the real world implications and that most consumer routers will reduce your speeds to those that were common 10-15 years ago.

It's been ages since I used a SuperHub but I think you can disable the DHCP server on it. Pi-Hole has a DHCP server in it so enable that and it'll then give out the Pi-Hole box as the DNS server.
