Vista Error 0xc0000005

Hi,
My friend is having awful problems with Vista!! Internet Explorer stops working, skype, basically anything where access to internet is concerned. Although if I click on IE 64-bit the home page will load (although nothing else).
The message that is received is as follows:
'The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000005) occurred in the application at location 0x06de00c8'
Can anyone help please, as I have tried 'RegCure', and System Restore!

i had this the other day i had to reinstall vista nothing else worked!

I don't understand it, I can get on the internet using IE 64-bit, and can even navigate on the net to other sites, but any applications that require internet access just stop working!!

i had this with vista i think or it might have been xp. google for a search i cant remember what it is but it fixed mine!sorry i cant be more help
