VMware Player and MAC OS X ?

    Hello,

    I have a Windows XP computer that i run VMWare player on to play around with different operating systems.

    Is it possible to installed MAC OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.3 as a virtual machine with VMware player on a windows computer ??

    If you want to run OSX in a VM then you will, according to the licensing, need to use the server edition of OSX.

    Surely that's not true for non-Apple hardware though? If you could do that someone could create a thin hypervisor and bingo - instant legal hackintosh running OSX server.

    OSX Server = Apple Hardware & VMable OSX. According to the OSX licence. So yes, to run OSX you require Apple hardware according to the license.

    I found a vm for snow leopard a while ago that ran on vmware player, it was unbelievably slow and really buggy, I wouldn't recommend it.

    Not going to bother seems its not possible or its very hard to get going.

    Might just buy a Macbook pro :p
