Hey!

I’m a novice when it comes to PC building and I’m not sure which route to take to get into VR. Mostly, I am stuck with which processor, motherboard and SSD/HDD to get - I already have a GTX 980 GPU and 750W PSU, RAM is simple enough.

I ideally would want something that performs seamlessly within VR without breaking the bank if that is at all possible. Budget around £500 without the GPU if my current one is capable.

If I may add some questions as well, I’d be grateful to know:
First of all, is this GPU capable of VR?
Can anyone recommend a build around this GPU (or not) that is mid-high range?
Which VR system would be recommended for less than £700?

Again, I’m no expert on this so help would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Kind Regards

I would spend as much as you can on a new GPU. Sell your current one and get a rtx 3060 when they come out then buy cheap used motherboard and cpu. Get a cheap nvme ssd as well.
