My first car was a '67 1300, I still have it actually, in an ongoing state of repair (slowly slowly..). Prices for parts are reasonable (imo), much cheaper to repair than a modern car (like for like, at least I am finding). If you have a friend who's handy with a welder (or you're handy yourself) it makes things a lot less expensive (assuming you encounter the dreaded tin worm). Very easy car to work on, and it's all very old very understandable tech with cheap mexican/brazilian pattern parts available (which is fine for a lot of panels etc, not so great for heat exchangers and the like). Overall I enjoyed my first car, it broke down twice, both timing issues.
They're underpowered and the standard (drum) brakes are dangerous, it's not cool in summer, nor overly warm in winter lol. A strange car to buy, but they have character, and character goes a long way..
