    gonna try out suse 10.1, not tried Linux since mandrake 7 how easy to get wine working??? for a nOOB!

    thought I'd like to get CS-S and guildwars running on it seeing how they only games I play, And I enjoy a challenge :D


    I was well pleased with myself when I got my Nvidia drivers+ quake3 running before when I tried linux


    or am I aiming too high?

    I think you might be aiming too high. If those games want to access DirectX you'll have a tough time getting WINE to help you out there. Games that are meant to run on Linux tend to run very nicely, as you've seen with Quake3. Maybe you just need to begin a Nethack habit.
