Im trying something that should be very easy (at least it was in xp)
Im connecting a laptop to my pc for file transfers and every time I plug the damn thing in it selects it as "Public Unidentfied Network"???
I cant seem to get any control to correct this and place it under Private network, for some reason I can only do this on the network port 1 port 2 is a nightmare.
Ive dug around loads and people are saying W7 cant identify non DHCP addresses as Private, so it classes it under Public and all I get is, you dont have permission to connect. Its driving me insane. thought Windows would get easier not harder to use #@$%
