I know the msi GE 76 raider comes with a rtx3080 max p. As far as I know they are all 150watt cards. I'm kinda hoping alienware release a A51mR3 with a 200watt 3080 saying as they have thicker chasie for better cooling. I'm sure more manufacturers will announce more laptops in due course

Hi All, Some of our new RTX 30xx have just gone live at OcUK.

Confident we have a good mix of Ryzen 5000 Series / Intel 11th Gen and also some very good price points as well

3060's

TUF A15 15.6" / R7 4800H / RTX 3060 / 512GB / 8GB DDR IV £999.99 and available for pre order

TUF DASH 15.6" / i7-11370H / RTX 3060 / 512GB / 8GB DDR IV £999.99 and available for pre order

Is there an estimated release date for these two laptops? I'm moving to Norway at the end of February and would like to have a new laptop before I move.

Does anyone have an opinion on whether one of these two laptops or the Gigabyte 3060 would be better for my uses? It will be mainly used for gaming but, I will also be coding using R and Python. My employer will be providing a computer for this so my personal laptop will be a backup for when I'm away from work. I have a 2.5 inch SSD that I would like to install as a secondary drive. It looks like this is possible with the Gigabyte but, not with either of the Asus laptops.

Hi LiE

It's not live yet but there will be a Zephyrus at the £2k mark.

Links I put up tonight were just some of the new range, not an exhaustive list. Hope that helps.

will you be getting any of the 17" scar's with the 1440p 165hz screen laptops coming through here any time soon?

From what I've seen elsewhere these both have March dates.

I'm trying to decide between these two models:

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asus...z-ryzen-r7-5800h-gaming-laptop-lt-2cz-as.html

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asus...z-ryzen-r7-4800h-gaming-laptop-lt-2dl-as.html

I've never owned a gaming laptop and have been out of the loop regarding pc components for many years. Am I right in saying the only difference between the above two is that one has a 4800 cpu with a 3070 gpu and the other has a 5800 cpu with a 3060 gpu?

So I assume this means the 4800 cpu is a lower spec cpu with a higher spec 3070 gpu? And the other has a higher spec 5800 cpu with a lower spec 3060 gpu?

The 4800 cpu with 3070 gpu is £100 less than the 5800 cpu and 3060 gpu. I'm really struggling trying to decide between the two.

Does anyone have any input on which would be the best to buy and the reasons why??

Cheers

Both come with sub par 250 nits screens personally that would put me off either.

The 4800h is an 8 core 16 thread cpu and is more than enough cpu grunt for gaming. Having the 3070 over the 3060 would be my choice but as I say the screen would put me off either tbh.

I wish the high end Asus laptops didn’t look like they were designed to appeal to 10 - 13 year old boy. (I was once a 10 - 13 year old boy and have a 10 year old son).

Asus seem to have all the features I’m after but the design puts me off. I’d much prefer something that looks semi-professional like the Legion 7i or Aorus 17G.

The Zephyrus G15 only comes with a 1yr warranty.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I expect at least 2 years for a machine that costs £1500+. Anything less and I just worry that the manufacturer isn’t confident in the quality of the product.
