Hi All

Looking for some advise on how to test a new monitor for defective pixels! I've had a look around on the net and had a read of a couple of sites but was also hoping I could grab some advice from some of you guy's?

Have you any preferred methods for testing your monitor?

What software would you recommend to run the test's?

So far I have found InjuredPixels, Pixel Doctor and DefectPX

I've got some freeware that basically just cycles through solid colours full screen, can't remember what its called exactly, something like dead pixel checker, lol!

On my old monitor i found a single stuck blue pixel, which was annoying as I'd probably had it for a few years and never noticed it before! It had a fix mode aswell, which was quit nifty as you could select a small area of screen where a stuck pixel is, then it would cycle colours rapidly to try and unstick the pixel. Unfortunately it didn't work in my case.
Basically you just need something that does the above, you can spot them easily when the screen cycles to a contrasting colour.
