Webcam!!

    I'm currently borrowing a friends Phillips ToUcam Pro Camera. It's ok......although the light has to be dead on else the person just see's a siloet.

    Now........I have an eyetoy.......is this better than the philips cam? Can it be used on PC....if it's worse than the philips cam, how much should I offer my mate for the philips cam?

    I use a Sony eyetoy with my PC , quality is great.

    It's a pretty good webcam for the cost. I got mine from HMV last year with the AntiGrav game for £24.99. Here are some pictures I just captured quickly:

    Ditto, have 2, can't complain about them at all. :)

    afaik it's only the black cams that work (original PS2 EyeToy), not the new silver type, but things could have changed, I aint heard nothing mind.

    Does the eytoy need drivers to be installed or will it plug and play as a default webcam?

    The silver one works - it just needs another driver.

    Both need drivers - very easy to google for though.

    Is it better than the philips one i've got now?

    Whats the spec of the eyetoy? 1Mp?
