Just getting my final spec for this years PC upgrade. I have no idea about the DDR2 line so was wondering which 2gb corsair xms2 to buy for the intel conroe 6600. I won't be overclocking.

Just get the cheapest 2 GB set you can find. You don't need the high speed sets if you are not overclocking and latencies have very little impact on Conroe.

    Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C5 TwinX

The above memory would suit you fine & have plenty left over if you ever want to overclock. The XMS2-5400 would also be fine, but will only save you about £15.

    Why not get the - G.Skill 2GB DDR2 LA PC2-5300 (2x1GB) CAS4 Dual Channel Kit (F2-5400PHU2-2GBLA) (MY-012-GS)
    Price: £99.95 (£117.44 Including VAT at 17.5%)

Cheap as chips lol :D and very good stuff. Thats what im gonna get for my 6600 conroe, had Gskill before and Corsair and both are excellent.
