Sizing up a few films to check out and was wondering what the folk here think of one or more of these. :)

The Man Who Wasn't There: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0243133/?ref_=ttls_li_tt

Sinister: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1922777/

The Faculty: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0133751/

Blood Father: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3647498/

---

I've most recently seen a documentary - Going Clear: Scientology & the Prison of Belief:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4257858/

Very interesting and well worth seeing if, like me, you enjoy docs as well as movies.

Reminds me of many a year ago when walking along Westen rd in Brighton and being approached by a lady selling a book about Dianetics.
I did actually go inside for a chat, purely out of curiosity, but backed out when the sales pitch was turned up a notch.

Watched Blood Father a few months back. I thought it was a pretty good film that doesn't outstay it's welcome at around 90 minutes. There's nothing new or ground breaking but I doubt you'll regret watching it.

7/10

I've always liked Mel Gibson as an actor, I can't really think of any stinkers I've seen him in.

Tango and Cash 1989 lol

It was terrible

Spy, with Jude Law and Melissa McCarthy oh and Statham

Really funny and the Statham bloopers on youtube are great

Keeping up with the Jones's,

reviews said it was great but it was really bad, so bad I got angry lol

Black Widow

Better than I thought after reading the comments here. Some good sequences, although the skydiving/parachute bit was a little daft even for a marvel film.

Pugh was great, enjoyed her little one liner comments and quips throughout. The "vest" was pretty funny I thought.

Clearly another set up for the new Phase..

Valentino's post credit scene, she's going to feature heavily moving forward.

Again post credits, Pugh confirmed to Hawkeye so probably going to forge some sort of relationship there maybe taking her sisters place.

The freed Widows I'd bet make another appearance. As well as all of the other "sleeper" Widows still out there.

I'd like to see more Harbour too, I hope he returns

Inglourious ******** - brilliant, so many tense scenes, brilliant dialogue and Christoph Waltz deserved the Oscar even if just speaking four languages fluently!

Happily - 3 / 10

I watched it as it had a cast I recognised, lots of actors I like, even though it's not well rated on IMDb. It's an odd movie, I'm not entirely sure what I just watched tbh and I can see why it's not rated highly. It's well enough Produced and acted, but a... weird... plot.

I was going to watch it tonight... Is it really that bad? :(

I'm obviously just not the demographic for this one :D A lot of family films have enough in them to play to both the adults and kids, I just felt this didn't. Dont get me wrong, it's got a high production value, big staged action scenes, but it just felt aimed at a much younger audience with the script and humour and I didn't gel with it. I just kept thinking it was trying for the Indiana Jones vibe but it was a pale imitation.
