I've just seen this on my kitchen door. My mate says it's a cocoon but I'm not so sure :S It's SPIKED into the door D:

UGH MOTHS! In my door though?! Surely it's not the safest of places for a moth to decide to put it there!

I'm not sure they're capable of making that kind of judgement call :p

that's pretty freaky. personally, i'd have yanked it out of the door, flung it over my neighbours fence and never spoken of it again

Actually, fry it up in a little oil for a few moments and let us know how it tastes with a bit of smoked paprika, won't you?

    it damaged your door ?

when they hatch make sure to stare them in the eye lovingly so they think of you as their mother...that will teach it to go round breaking your property.

It's 1:30am, I'm on an internet forum and I'm ribbing a complete stranger over their lack of knowledge on trivial matters. I am 'that guy' and I apologise :o

You should keep an eye on it. You might be able to get some cool photos of it emerging.
