Hi, I don't game that often now but mainly just desktop use. Now I am after a new mouse to replace my Logitech LX3 mouse which annoyingly the middle button is starting to play up. What is the recommended now? Is it worth going for laser over optical? Does it work better on varied surfaces than optical?
The Logitech gaming mice get a lot of praise, but their shape takes some getting used to, try one first. Some purists like trackers, but pretty much everyone has gone laser/optical in recent years, even Razer and the like Lasers can get a higher DPI than opticals, so you could get a more sensitive mouse, if that's too your liking. I believe the surfaces it works on are the same.
I still love my old MX510, will keep using it till it breaks tbh. I think the current equivalent is the MX518
MX518 is superb and very cheap. Fit's nicely in the hand too. Have you tried contacting Logitech about your current mouse? Their support is legendary.
