What to do... (Ripped off)

I bought some bike bits off someone on another forum and ive been stung a few hundread quid. Seems hes done a few other people. Ive carried out the paypal procedures. Just wondering if i should contact the police? Will they do anything? Really annoyed by this

If you've got the details get everyone who has been stung to report it, preferably to a single station (near where the guy lives).
The police probably don't have the time to go after someone who has only done it once or twice, but if they see a pattern of it happening they are much more likely to do something about it.

This once happend to me, I reported it to the local police who told me they had had a lot of trouble with this guy in the past, round they went and I soon got my cash back.
