when will car tax be going up?

i know mr brown has plans for cars built on a y plate or newer. They will be put in to different tax brackets. but when is it?

im looking at a few s2000's tomorrow one is a x plate and another is y plate.

if this new tax rule comes it will meen taxing the y plate will be over £400 a year!

THats only £200 more than the X reg, thats £16 a month, not a massive amount when the cars worth 8k (8k was a guess)

Just get the better value for money car

It's already happened, but modifications were made - a Y plate is now about £220 a year going up to £240 a year.
