which card is better? X800GT2 or X850XT?

    The X850 has always been better but the X800 GTO2 could be clocked close. The latest X800GTO2 are R430 which are a lot slower.

    Sapphire changed the spec without saying (I ended with one) :(

    hmmm if it was the revision 1 GTO2's then they were faster as they used the X850XTPE's R480 chip.

    However the newer Revision 3 (I think) are just rebadged X800XL's

    lol, the new gto2 are usually R430 cores, same as the X800XL and X800Bravo
