Hi all,

Got the following pc:
Asus p8z68v pro
Intel i5 2500k
Hyper X 8gb
Asus 960 GTX
250gb SSD

Thinking of either going for an EVGA 600W 80+ for a cheap upgrade for this pc and then just get a newer psu when/if I do a full upgrade.
Otherwise go for something a bit higher spec; EVGA G2 650W Gold with the idea of keeping for future systems (but how future proof would this be?)

What you guys recommend? Any other suggestions?

The G2 650W is an excellent PSU built by Superflower with a 7 year warranty. Unless you're trying to run multiple graphics cards, 650W should be plenty. The EVGA 80+ units are very much budget units in terms of internals. It's a much better idea to get a PSU that will last you a long time and that can be transferred from one build to another.

Found some reviews of the 500W and 450W units:

Basically, they're cheap HEC built units with cheap capacitors. But at least they're not one of these:
