There are lots of different voices available, the John Cleese one is amusing.

The 510 is the same as the 710, the only difference is the card supplied with it, it even says 710 on the model number of the 510s.

Apparantly someone figured out recently that you can get text-to-speech on the 510/710 also by taking the files from a 910 and putting it onto the memory card, however due to the filesize you need a bigger than standard card in your 510/710.
