I'm looking to buy some surround sound headsets. I currently have an Icemat Siberia which is stereo, and obviously i cant tell if a noise is coming from front or behind. The only reason i went with those is because i'd read while doing some research that 5.1 headsets at that time werent that great, and a good pair of stereo headsets would be as good if not better.

I'm not sure if thats still the case, but out of these 3, which would you buy?
Mic quality is not important at all as i wont be using it.

Altec AHS602 5.1 Gaming Headset - Retail (SP-016-AL)
SpeedLink Medusa SL-8790 5.1 Surround Headset (SP-000-RA)

just to let you know the 5.1 medusa headsets were on the ocuk b grade section for under £13! Be quick!

I have the zalmans and they are great, but one issue with them is bass. Apparently the medusas aren't meant to be better in that aspect.
