Who came up with the 'white' electronics style first?;)

I was looking around my room when I went home and found my old walkman, a little battered, however its looking rather white and before the ipod came out I think. So who came up with the white style first!?;)

The Domestic Appliance industry (what I work in) has been known as White Goods for decades.

I think the iPod was the first white MP3 player, but certainly not the first white electrical appliance.

Sperm. Ok it's not electrical (depending on you look at it), but it has a function like any appliance:

"Put those eggs in the fridge so they don't go off"
    "yes dear..."

    "Er, I want children"
    "..yes dear..."
