Why is the AMD 3700 OEM version priced higher then the Retail version

    guys how comes the OEM cpu for the 3700 sd is higher then the retail version of the 3700sd?

    any ideas

    I don't know for definite but I'd guess that OcUK simply got a better price on the retail CPUs and so could pass it on. I don't see it as any sort of problem though, I'd buy the retail as you get a 3 year warranty instead of 1 year and you get a cooler even if you never use it, unless with the OEM chips you get a guaranteed stepping there isn't a reason to pay more for it that I can see.
