Hi guys and girls, I've had my current Gigabyte P35K since 2014, its got 8GB of memory on the i7-4700HQ processor.

The issue I've got is that the battery has finally failed and not holding a charge which is easily replaced, but it's also still running on Win7 so needs to have the OS replaced with Win10.

So will Win10 run without being too laggy or am I better off replacing with a new laptop?

Thanks

i7-4700HQ is still a decent performing processor, and 8GB RAM should be fine.

You don't say if the Laptop has an SSD, but if it does then you should be absolutely fine to install Windows 10.
If it doesn't have an SSD, then ideal time to pick one up.
