Windows 10 - SSD

I bought a new laptop that came with windows 7, did the windows 10 upgrade but bought a SSD today.

What's the easiest way to transfer stuff to the new drive. Not sure how things work as I don't have an actual product key for win 10?

if I was you make sure your current W10 install is activated.

if it is then do a clean install of W10, use the W10 tool to create a bootable USB stick and reboot from this to install W10 on to your SSD.

skip both stages where it asks for the product key and W10 will activate by your hardware ID once online.

if you have data you want to keep on your current install you can clone the drive, guide below to free software and how to clone the HDD

just do a clone of the win 10 drive, its so easy .
