I downloaded and installed it into a VM out of curiosity but not really done anything with it. No way am I about to trust my data and backups to a Beta so I'm sticking with WHS until the full release comes out, whenever that is.

They also need to address a few big issues, chief amongst which is the fact that nothing other than Vail can read the data it creates, which limits your recovery options in the event of a major failure.

Does anyone know if there is a release date for Vail yet? My WHS has died and im reluctant to build a new server and install WHS on it if im going to be updating to Vail soon.

As vail i based on this, does it have trouble finding drivers? Or does one have to go specifically running after server based drivers for the beasty?

vista/win7 drivers work fine.

My WHS v1 is giving me some CRC errors on MP3s and event log is reporting DISK2 is failing (system) but the WHS console is reporting the disk is healthy.

Moving all 3TB of data off it now.

Hoping to get my hands on V2 ASAP.
