I personally found WMC to be pretty awful. The DVD quality was terrible and being reliant on the Windows Media Player library (which is buggy at the best of times) meant that some albums were missing from the library etc

Hated it and moved to Xbox Media Centre. Would never go back. Full support for almost every single codec, looks absolutely amazing with the Aeon skin and really blows people away when they check it out.

WMC can do TV though, which XBMC can't.

@somewhatdamaged - Appreciate your comments, XBMC is much more nicely polished and less bloated than WMC will ever be, but as in the OP I'd like to focus the discussion on WMC only here. If you have the time, I encourage you to create a similar thread for XBMC, I think a fair few people use it and I have had good experiences with it in the past, but I do need TV as it stands. Will look at that skin you suggest, cheers mate.

If anyone wants to suggest anything else that should be in the OP, fire away, I'm all ears.

Added a R3700 in to my setup this Christmas. R3610 is moving into our bedroom with the R3700 becoming the lounge htpc

Is there any way that you can add videos to a playlist then play them all through MCE?
