They put them on the side of the road, as if they were parked cars.

happens quite a lot. They are supposed to have lights or at least reflectors around them but sometimes they either get nicked or dodgy skip operators just dont bother. Then if car/bike driver isnt paying attention in the dark its an accident waiting to happen.

Friend of my dad lost his son when he hit one on a motorbike in the dark. Some students thought it was a laugh to nick the warning lamps around it :/

 

You hit a skip fast enough it aint gonna move much it is full! Ouch! Poor girl!

My ex did the same... came over a brow of a hill into the sunshine and wham.. Wasnt doing much speed though and she wasnt hurt... Daft cow!
