she's been having pains in her stomach so she went to the doctor who did pregnancy test/cancer test, all negative but she then had a lLaparotomy the other day and they found a large cyst connected to her womb/bowl's/etc. shes going to have it out in 6 weeks but it sounds really serious.

My wife had something similar. It can be serious if left without treatment (it can eventually turn cancerous if left for a looooong time). But in the vast majority of cases it's a fairly simple procedure with few side effects. She should be fine. All the best to her.
