First day back lifting, had all intentions of it being a leg focused day but gym busy with all squat racks taken so did the chest day instead.

Couldn't sleep so ended up going to the gym early (for me) at 7am. Squat racks was once again taken but gym didn't seem as busy as previous day so decided to play around with incline BB bench as all the benches for DB was taken. Squats went ok I guess...

Had all intentions of going gym during lunchtime yesterday but work go in the way, ended up doing a 2 hour walk in the evening instead as DOMs from Tuesday had kicked in. Woke up early again today hit the gym just after 7, DOMs are still in full effect so struggled somewhat. Back strength is totally shot compared to pre-pandemic as really struggled with the pull ups.

One of the movements on this workout template is upright rows but I absolutely hate it, so I always skip it. Any recommendations to replace that movement?

I'd still hit this.

Replace upright rows with snatch grip high pulls. Your traps, delts and rotator cuffs will thank you. Not straight away, mind...they will fall out of love with you for a bit.

I looked into these... Yea not 100% confident with that movement, will mess around and see if I can incorporate it eventually.

The program asks for a lot of high reps, like 12-20 odd. Still trying to get into the swing of high reps as I'm very much used to training in the low rep ranges.

Feel like I need to extensively retrain deads as extended time of WFH and being seated so much have fried my glutes.

Had to swap days again due to squat racks being taken, weird to see them in use so much.

Bench seems to be coming back, minor struggle with the 55 but can't complain for 2nd proper bench session in a while. Rows need work.

Squat day! Felt relatively comfortable bar clicky knees... Need to build confidence up to load up more on squats as definitely wasn't too much struggle with the numbers.

Anddddd back again within 12 hours as woke up early and thought I get some action in before work.

Definitely feels like I can put more weight on the squats and think it's mainly in my head that I won't be able to push it, will try loading up more in the next session.
