but *** about performance? and X800 dont support SM3, does this make the X1600XT a better card?

if concerned about SM3 go for the X1600XT (it will run games well, though the X800GTO16 is faster generally: any game above 30FPS you probably wont notice the difference anyway)
not many games use SM3 & the ones that do have defaults for SM2. the raw performance of the X800GTO16 makes it the better card in most games at present.
