    Hi,

As title really, after getting this baby running as smoothly as possible. To that end what (if any) essential applications/pre instalation tips ?

FWIW card is the 512MB version as seen on Ocuk.

Also is it worth clocking out of the box?

Thanks in advance for any first hand tips/advice.

    Regards,

    Dave.

Have a read of the following article on OCing the X1800, it could solve a few headaches before they happen.

Also, if you are able to do so a fresh reinstall of your OS never goes amiss when changing GC, particularly if you're changing Nvidia<>ATI (and vice versa).

Get the latest Cats (or Omegas depending on your fav flavour) from ATI.

youl need to do one thing... take your pc and bolt that ****** to the floor, also keep the cat/dog/gerbil/ away from any intake grills... when the fan picks up on the X1800 anything within 50 feet will be shredded...
