    Hey,

Just picked up one of these on the bay for £80 by accident, was trying to find out his reserve price! 2 hours left on the auction, no way I'd win right? wrong...

    anyway,
Just wondered if these things are flashable to 16 pipes? I'd need the r480 core to do so right?

AFAIK only GTO2's are flashable to 16 pipes.

well the x800xl which is what the core is mostely used for is a 16pipe card. all the gto2's with r430 are *supposed* to have 16 pipes already enabled as well

Asgard's GTO probably needs a bios flash then.

Totally sure it was only 12 pipe. Confirmed by AtiTool. Bought from OcUK about a week ago. It also had no power connector.

There were Connect3D X800GTO's (R430 cores) that were unlockable to 16 pipes too.

    Yeah R430 & R480 can be flashed (X800 v X850 cores).
Well i thought the GTO2 cards with R430 cores had 16 pipes too, could be he got a card from an old batch. Nevermind just flash it for the extra 4 pipes.
