x800 xt temp

    hi

    I own an ATI x800xt which i have only just noticed seems to be running hot , the temps ATItool show are at idle 50c, i have just run scan for artifacts and after 10 mins the temp was 85c. could anyone inform me if these temps are safe ?

    I have had the card for about 10 months and never had problems but i am concened about these temps.

    Using ATiTool you should be able to change the fan speeds at different temperatures.

    Putting the fan at 100% at ~50 degrees should keep it nice and low

    mine sits at 40c normally with 50% speed, and max is around 70-71c load temp.
