Ok the title says it all.

    This must be AGP

I want the best performer for the money.

I have read and been told by nice folk here that the x800GTO is better than the x1600pro, but I am now reading something about DX 9.0c and Pixel Shader 3.0 that make the x1600pro better in newer games. Is this in anyway true?

Would the x1600pro make vista look any better or is it purely 3d?

And what about the 6600 GT ?

I am upgrading from a now dead 9800Pro.

    Thanks in advance...

I would get at least a 6800gs if your budget can stretch to it, the BFG model at £164 looks like a safe bet.

I am afraid I can't go past £110 wich I have found an X800GTO for, but the x1600Pros are cheaper??

don't get the x1600pro. it's too slow to make decent use of the added features is has over the x800gto. get the x800gto, it's a decent enough card. :)

not pick up a 6800GT or GS from B-grade or second hand for around your price range? both would be faster than X800GTO
