Xbox live-cant connect to private chat

    It seems that I can't connect to certain people through private chat. I can connect to some but when others invite me (or i invite them) it just stays on Joining Chat for about 5 seconds and then goes off. My 360 is in the DMZ so is it a problem on their end or mine? and how do you solve it.

    Also, is there a way to give the 360 a static IP so i dont have to keep switching the DMZ about?

    i got my router to setup a specific IP by adding the MAC Address into one of the options.

    Can't help with the other bit im afraid
