xfx black edition 5970.

    Hello there im going to purchase a xfx 5970 black edition graphic card.
    my eyefinity setup @ the moment i use 2 dvi and 1 display port.
    from looking @ this card it has 2xdvi and 1 mini display port.
    will i need a adapter because my monitor is only a normal display port
    input. not mini. thx in response. ;)

    ah so its a mini display port to normal displayport adapter.
    if it is thats great looked @ a review and he said mini display port to hdmi lead rofl.

    does any1 know if the xfx black edition is a reference board so i
    can use a ek waterblock. ;)

    it is the reference one mate.
    I have had both this and the Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5970.
    Save you're self £74 and get the Sapphire ;) clock just the same using after burner, if that's what you want to do.

    It's at a good ish price.

    ah cool do i need to reflash the bios on the sapphire to overclock up to 1ghz.
    or will it go without flashing.

    No need to flash the bios. 1ghz on air not tried. on water maybe.
    I'm sure someone on here could confirm that.
    But yeah, it's a nice card if you know how to setup the right setting :)
    Just use after burner to overclock.

    i can get the xfx black edition card for £510.00 delivered.
    would u get the sapphire and save £25.00 or still get the Xfx.

    I have had both, so save you're self £25 and go for the sapphire mate.
    I wasn't sure about the stickers of 2 twins at first, but when i got mine, it look pretty good. but you won't even see that once it's installed ;)
    I wouldn't mind 2 twins lol :D
    if i was to buy again, i would pick the sapphire.
    But hey you're money ;)
