xp home or pro?

If you've got both, go for pro.

One day you might use the extra features, plus it just sounds better than home, and there is no point wasting more money by putting Pro on the shelf.

go for pro

Automated System Recovery Encrypting File System,IntelliMirror,Roaming profiles ,backup tool,IIS Web server ,rdp server. the main reason i would go for pro would be asr.

make a image of it before u start adding software, saves a lot of hassle in the future actually make 2 copies.

I just reinstalled XP last night so now would be a good time to make a fresh image for next time

get mce its absolutely fab, and is mostly pro but cheaper ha ha ha!!!! oh yes
its oem and all cos oem is the muts.

Image, like clones the disk, makes it think the disk is in. dont know why you would want to do that though?
