It would be far too depressing!! :)

Corolla - 8 months ish, bought £1650, put 10,000 miles on it, traded against next car

Celica - 5 weeks ish, bought for the above car + £1500, put about 800 miles on it, cracked the timing chain cover, stuck it together with epoxy, sold for £2400 (lost £750)

Octavia - 8 months ish, bought £1250, put 20,000 miles on it which paid for it in fuel savings and then some, sold £750 (lost £500)

1.2 Ibiza £5000 sold to a mate for ~2000 after 4 years and 40k~ miles. Had no repairs outside of warranty, just a new radio and alloys.

Ibiza FR £6500 traded in against Z4 for 3500 after 18 months and 25k~ miles. Had no repairs outside of warranty other then a few panels spayed after my sister decided to drive down one side of it while it was parked on the drive.

Z4 3.0 £9000 traded in against the M for 4500~ after 18 months and 25k~ miles. No repairs outside of warranty that cost more then my excess (250).

Z4m for £19000, 2 years so far. Not much has gone wrong, what has been covered by my warranty minus the MOT stuff and brake stuff this year (much moneis).

Thinks those values are correct give or take.

1st car was a P-reg Peugeot 306 DTurbo (facelift)
2nd car was a 2001 BMW 330d Sport

I then sold the BMW and moved into Vauxhalls. At the same time I bought a Mini Cooper S JCW (2006).

The Mini was sold a few years later and was replaced with the 1968 Pontiac Firebird.

A year or two ago I then added the Morgan +8.

The Vauxhalls (since Dec 2010) are:

Astra 1.4T SE
Astra 1.4T SRI
Astra 2.0 cdti 160 SRI
GTC 2.0 cdti 160 SRI
Zafira Tourer 2.0 163 cdti SRI
Cascada 2.0cdti Elite
GTC 2.0cdti SRI
Insignia Elite Nav cdti 140 in Macadamia (brown!)
Insignia TechLine cdti 140
Insignia VX-Line Nav 2.0 cdti BiTurbo 195
Insignia Elite cdti 140
Insignia Country Tourer Nav 2.0 cdti 163 4x4
Insignia Elite Nav 1.6T 170
Insignia Elite Nav 1.6T 170
Insignia Elite Nav 2.0 cdti Elite auto
Astra Elite Nav 1.6 cdti 136 auto
Astra Elite Nav 1.6 cdti 160 BiTurbo
Insignia Elite Nav 1.6 cdti 136

On order: Insignia Grand Sport 2.0 cdti 170 Elite Nav. After that I will probably try the new 1.5T 165 petrol engine, possibly in VX-Line Nav trim.

On the road....
1982 Ford Escort 1.3 Ghia - owned a few months turned out to be a cut & shunt jobbie!

1984 Ford Fiesta 1.1 Pop Plus, ended up with a 1.7 X-Flow engine and XR2 interior, body kit etc but I never changed the brakes, stopping from 80+ was "interesting"!

1987 Vauxhall Belmont 1.6 GL - Surprisingly I loved it until my now ex wife wrote it off.

1989 Vauxhall Belmont 1.6 GL, bought for a bargain £700 due to knackered gearbox, replaced the box at a garage for £350, ran it for 6months and then it got stolen, insurance paid me £3500 which was the market value of a good one at the time!

1989 Vauxhall Nova 1.5TD , twiddled with the boost settings and it went like hell until it inevitably went bang.

1989 Vauxhall Belmont 1.8 SRi - fast but dull - actually preferred the 1.6 GL version which didn't try to be something it wasn't like the SRi

1984 Ford Escort XR3i - handled fantastically thanks to spax suspension-
was stolen twice second time never to return.

1985 Escort RS Turbo - Stolen and recovered a few times. Great car standard ie never chipped.

1989 Escort RS Turbo - 175bhp remap, went like stink torque steer everywhere Surprisingly got stolen too, never seen again.

1995 Escort 1.8TD LX - Wrote it off. Best thing about it!

1987 Peugeot 309 1.3 - hateful stop gap.

1988 Ford Granada 2.9i Scorpio - lovely barge, bankrupted me on fuel but wonderful after the Pug!

1992 BMW 318i e36 bought @ 125k miles, put 50k on it and it only required a back box and fuel pipe in repairs, great car!

1997 BMW 728i e38 favourite car by a long way, sold it to fund a holiday for my now ex girlfriend after she'd completed her breast cancer treatment, regret selling the car but not the reason why I did so, still looking for another decent e38.

1999 Ford Mondeo 1.8TD LX Bought as a stop gap after the e38, quite a come down! It was reliable though and very frugal.

1996 BMW 328i SE - great car, had loads of goodies, switchable auto, electric heated sports seats, wood trim, rear blind, climate control, cruise control etc, loved it. Bought for £995 sold for £995 after a year and 10k

1997 BMW 528i SE - My fathers company car from new, he retired and kept it another 10 years and ran it for ~265k it had a full BMW history and was in great condition, he was offered £500 for it when he bought his Mercedes as part ex so I decided to have it.
Liked it but the then second wife never did and it had large bills looming so I decided to get the e46 below.

1998 BMW 318i SE e46, one of my Dads reps company cars from new and my mum ran it for a few years after, full BMW history, made sense at the time as it was cheaper than the 528 (which had bills looming) but I never liked it as much as its e36 predecessor.

2000 BMW 325i Touring, replaced the 318 as we bought our first White German Shepherd and she needed somewhere to travel in comfort. Never really liked it that much, again my previous e36 328i was a much better car.

2000 BMW 530i Sport e39, liked it but it was never quite right, it had a persistent intermittent power loss issue that I never got to the bottom of, eventually the head gasket failed (disappointingly given it had only done 130k) and the gearbox died at the same time, it was exported to Romania.

2002 Vauxhall Corsa 1.7Dti Elegance, where the elegant bit was I never found out and Roo & Marley (my two German Shepherds) couldn't comfortably fit in the back. It was reliable though, worse in fuel than my subsequent Volvo V70 which was a surprise, lovely condition but a crap car.

1999 Volvo V70 2.5d (5 Pot Audi lump) - current steed - its remapped, much to my surprise ,I really quite like it! bought to primarily tow my caravan and cart my now two White Shepherds around, it's a far better tow car than the 530 was and despite needing a steering rack and alternator when I bought it has subsequently been reliable, remarkably frugal and when you floor it surprisingly quick (albeit with smoke akin to a Battleship running for cover!)

Still looking for the unicorn e38 but will keep the Volvo as it's so very practical for the dogs and various item moving and tip runs.

Sure I've missed a few and may have some dates slightly out but I think that pretty much covers them.

1978 - 1979 Suzuki 100cc motorbike.
1979 - 1980 Honda CB250 motorbike.
Gap year learning how to drive and passing test.
Feb 1981 - Dec 1981 Mk1 1100 Ford Escort, more rust than metal and written off when some clown rear ended me.
1982 - 1983 Austin Allegro 1100. By far the worst car I ever owned, dealer must have seen me coming.
1983 - 1987 Mk2 1100 Ford Escort.
1987 - 1989 Morris Ital 1700. another godawful British Leyland experience.
1989 - 1990 Mk3 Ford Escort "plastic pig".
1990 - 1999 Ford Sierra 1600cc. Sweet car lots of power, highest accrued mileage when traded in at 90k+ for
1999 - 2004 Vauxhall Astra 1400cc auto. First automatic I loved it, can't understand why I then went
2004 - 2008 Fiat Punto. Nearly as bad as the Allegro. Turin tin can. And on to current..
2008 - Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 semi-auto (Queasytronic). Has proved to be quite reliable and goes quite well but it's ten years old now so will be looking to change it when I (hopefully) retire in a couple of years time.
