I was planning on getting this cooler to fit onto my AGP 6600GT, but then I looked at the site and it seems to say that it won't fit. :(

I'm quite disapointed at this because I've been planning on getting this for a while to quieten the stock cooler a little. Can someone confirm or (better) dispute this claim please?

It's true because the 6600GT is a PCI-E native chip and the AGP variants use a bridge, which gets in the way of the cooler fitting.

That looks quite good actually! It looks like you can put an 80mm fan of your choice on, is that right? Has anyone used this cooler then? Opinions?

Yup, VF700 fits on my 6600GT AGP. Make sure you have a separate HSI heatsink though.
