R.I.P Zoltan,

Not the kind of news you like to hear, especially while in university on the brink of busting out into floods of tears.

He was a brave man, you should be proud of him!

Many many condolences
John

something i read at my fathers funeral, i found it helped a little:

Gone From My Sight

I am standing upon the seashore.
A ship at my side spreads her white
sails to the morning breeze and starts
for the blue ocean.

She is an object of beauty and strength.
I stand and watch her until at length
she hangs like a speck of white cloud
just where the sea and sky come
to mingle with each other.

Then, someone at my side says;
"There, she is gone!"

"Gone where?"
Gone from my sight. That is all.
She is just as large in mast and hull
and spar as she was when she left my side
and she is just as able to bear her
load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her.

And just at the moment when someone
at my side says, "There, she is gone!"
There are other eyes watching her coming,
and other voices ready to take up the glad
shout;
"Here she comes!"

And that is dying.

Had just finished reading Zoltans cancer thread (the fact that it was 9 pages long is a testimony to his presence on this forum) was stunned to read the follow up - so sudden! Probably not much comfort at this time but I think sometimes it's better to go quickly, my grandfather suffered for 3 years and by the end was unrecognisable.

My Deepest condolences

Really sad to hear this horrible news:(

I didn't know Zoltan myself but from reading this it is so obvious that he has a great deal of respect from all members here and as such will be missed greatly.

You have my deepest condolences.

I'm so very sorry to hear this - lost for words.
No, I was right with you. Especially after seeing the poster's name.

RIP, Darren.

And, Zoltan's Dad, thank you for letting us know so soon.

One of my best friends (22) has cancer and this has encouraged and inspired me to appreciate the time he has left.

My most heartfelt sympathies go out to you.
