I replaced a Vapor-X 5870 with this at 1920x1200. Where the 5870 would present acceptable frame rates (30-40fps) on high/ultra details, this card is permanently pushing out 60+, with all the anti-aliasing, FXAA etc at highest setting.

For example:
Heaven 3.0
Render: direct3d11
Mode: 1920x1200 8xAA fullscreen
Shaders: high
Textures: high
Filter: trilinear
Anisotropy: 16x
Occlusion: enabled
Refraction: enabled
Volumetric: enabled
Tessellation: extreme

The 5870 achieved an average of 17.5 fps - high of 42.7, low of 6.9.
The 680 achieved an average of 65.2 fps - high of 163.6, low of 32.1.

Add to this the fact it is quieter than the 5870 (I don't think I've heard the fan at ALL yet), it uses less power, it is a shorter card overall so less trouble with fitting it and it has a black pcb (compared to the lurid blue of the vapor-x!), this has been as much of a jump in quality and performance as when I when from a Geforce 4400Ti to a 8800GTX many moons ago! :)

I was the proud owner of a GTX 580 SLI setup - which I thought was amazing.
There is some question on some of the forums about this being a worthwhile upgrade.
Well, it is. Its not only that performance wise, its even smoother (yes, it is visibly noticable) - its the temperatures and noise !
Im running a dell u27 (2556 x 1440) and the things dont even break a sweat when running demaning games (Metro 2033 etc). In SLI this is simply unbeatable and VERY much worth it.
These Gainward cards (not bought Gainward for ages) have been great to install...look great and no probs at all.
Superb card and well worth the upgrade
