970A-DS3P AMD 970A (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard

The 970A-DS3P motherboard is designed to offer a stable, high-speed platform for delivering amazingly fast data transfer via the GIGABYTE 333 onboard acceleration technologies. Featuring the USB3.0 controller, AMD 900 series motherboards allow users to take advantage of super fast USB transfer rates of up to 5Gbps, delivering 10x faster data transfer compared to USB 2.0. Utilizing the industry's first Serial ATA Revision 3.0 solution via AMD SB950 chipset, GIGABYTE AMD 900 series motherboards offer native 6 ports of next generation high speed data storage devices support with data transfer speeds of up to 6 Gbps with RAID 0, 1, 5, 10. The AMD 900 series motherboards introduce a unique hardware design with lower resistance fuses for ensuring lower voltage drops and providing more stable and plentiful power delivery. All USB ports also benefit from a 3x power boost for better power delivery to power hungry USB devices.

works great

bought this to replace old mother board so i could upgrade to AMD 900 socket works great easy install in to case and easy drivers install great board

great motherboard for the money

got this with an FX6300 and 8gb avexir core red ram, runs like a dream easy set up no issues installing drivers etc and has plenty of sata3 and usb 3.0 ports.

Good but not quite there!

Got this board to replace my ageing ASRock M3N78D AM3 board.

Installing was not a problem and adding in my CM Seidon 120M hydro cooler was simple enough as well.

The board has good cooling and is pretty sturdy.

BIOS/UFEI: its very laggy and doesn't have all the overclocking options in one place, so you have to change the multiplier, then go to another part under a different name to change the NB volts and then another different page to change the Vcore volts.

Its very annoying, but minus that, its a good overclocker, I have my phenom quad at 4ghz now (BE AWARE, this board only has a 4+1 power phase)

MEMORY!: I have some avexir core 8GB 1600mhz yellow series memory and the board does NOT LIKE IT at 1600mhz, and refuses to post. I have ran a memtest and my memory is fine, it will only run at 1333mhz, which is not a massive problem, but is annoying.

Overall, a good board ready for an 8 core to be dropped in soon!
