990FXA-UD5 AMD 990FX (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard

The 990FXA-UD5 motherboard is designed to offer a stable, high-speed platform for delivering amazingly fast data transfer via the GIGABYTE 333 onboard acceleration technologies. Featuring the USB3.0 controller, AMD 900 series motherboards allow users to take advantage of super fast USB transfer rates of up to 5Gbps, delivering 10x faster data transfer compared to USB 2.0. Utilizing the industry's first Serial ATA Revision 3.0 solution via AMD SB950 chipset, GIGABYTE AMD 900 series motherboards offer native 6 ports of next generation high speed data storage devices support with data transfer speeds of up to 6 Gbps with RAID 0, 1, 5, 10. The AMD 900 series motherboards introduce a unique hardware design with lower resistance fuses for ensuring lower voltage drops and providing more stable and plentiful power delivery. All USB ports also benefit from a 3x power boost for better power delivery to power hungry USB devices.

Had this board for 5+Months

I bought this to transfer from my old motherboard and CPU for future parts , at the moment i have this hardware:

FX-6100 Overclocked to 4.52Ghz - will be getting 8320 (will OC )
8GB Patriot Signature 1333mhz - will be getting Corsair Dominator 1866mhz
Did have GT440 now running MSI R9 270 Crossfired

Runs cooler than my old motherboard , plenty of room for graphics cards , plenty of sata ports

Only thing i could say bad would be maybe more fan sockets but i don't use them anyways as my case has fan controllers

Not bad

Bought one of these coupled with an FX-6300 and some Corsair XMS3 1600 8GB at the same time from overclockers, although wish I had gone with another board, my original choice.
Don't get me wrong this board isn't bad it will do everything you want in terms of bios options and stuff, its just...well not for me I guess. I don't like silly things like Gigabytes software, bios style or even there website which is probably stupid on my part, to each there own I guess.

Orignally my choice was a Sabertooth 990FXA board and I would still prefer that board now and may even get one in the future.

Finally this board however is a great board its just not for me don't be put off by this review as it's will do everything needed I just wish I got my first choice board I picked in the Sabertooth.

This does everything you need it to do, running this mobo with 16gb corsair vengeance Ram(1600mhz) and with Amd phenom x4 980 Black edition and a Nvidia gtx560ti direct cuII TOP also purchased from overclockers and it runs perfectly, BIOS has so many options, great board for overclocking..... thanks again overclockers

Picked this board up for my Antec 300/Phenom II X6 100TBE build.

There's not really much I can say about it other than it works perfectly. The BIOS has enough options for complete control over voltages, clocks, RAM frequencies etc. without being cluttered or too confusing and it looks great when seated in the case
